She likes Eau Claire and is very glad she moved here.                                                       - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cheryl Meyers – Ridgeway Block Captain - 832-4644         cherylm@charterinternet.com Hello neighbors, my name is Cheryl Meyers and I am the block captain for Ridgeway Drive. I would love to meet each and every one of you.  If you have any concerns about the neighborhood or ideas that would benefit the neighborhood, please give me a call.    My husband Jim and our 10 year old daughter Melanie moved into the neighborhood in April 2005.  I am a stay at home mom, Melanie is a 4th grader at Robbins School, Jim owns the Auto Value Parts Stores on the west and south side of Eau Claire.  We both were born and grew up in Minnesota - Jim in southwestern Minnesota and myself in the central part of the state.  We moved to Eau Claire in Sept 1992 after buying the parts store which was then located in the Kings Plaza on London Road.  We really enjoy living in the Otter Creek neighborhood and look forward to many more years in our home.                                                      - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Catherine Keys – Briarcrest Drive (North) Block Captain - 715-831-9079   catherine@murtagh.com Catherine joined the neighborhood in the summer of 2000 when her husband Tony started a new job at UWEC.  She was born in Jamaica and grew up in Canada, Wales and Ireland.  She worked for the Bank of Ireland (in Ireland) and a subsidiary company (in England) for 12 years as a computer programmer, systems programmer and database administrator.    She has traveled a lot, and since moving to the US with Tony in 1988, has continued to travel throughout the US (also lived in Virginia, Kansas and on the border of Ohio/West VA).    Catherine & Tony met through the sport of Orienteering (competitive navigation through rough terrain with map and compass).  Catherine drafted the neighborhood map several years ago (it now needs updating with the new Ridgeway extension).   They have 4 sons - James (20), Alastair (16), Owen (14), and Kevin (10).  The boys are all currently in Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts, and Catherine is a very active Leader in Scouting also.                                                            - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Jim Dickerson – Hamilton Block Captain        715-834-1789    jjjjbd@gmail.com Our Hamilton Block Captain Jim Dickerson and his wife Julie have lived in their current home at 5411 Hamilton Ave since 1980.   Jim worked in construction and then in the railroad business for 35 years until he blew out a knee.  Now in retirement he enjoys biking, canoeing and some roller-blading.   Julie is a teacher at Eau Claire North High School.  They have two children – John 18 and Josie 8.                                                              - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dave Strassman - North Ridgeway Drive              715-456-1500 Dave was married on Sept 24th to Kristine, a Registered Nurse who works at St. Josephs Hospital Emergency Department. She grew up in Rice Lake and moved to Eau Claire for college. Dave is an Eau Claire Fire Fighter/Paramedic and works out of Station 9 on the west side. He grew up in Eau Claire, lived 10 miles south of EC for the last 3 years. They bought their house on Ridgeway Drive in May of 2010.  Dave says he has always liked the neighborhood.  They both enjoy the outdoors, fishing, and camping and have a cabin on Wissota. Dave LOVES to bow hunt, and takes off most of November for bow hunting.
